Sunday, June 9, 2019 (Launch Time 1:00 PM)
We will be launching from a parking lot at Selkirk Shores State Park into Grindstone Creek. We were able to paddle approx 5 miles on the creek last year. Some kayakers opted to venture out onto Lake Ontario for some extra paddle time. A skirt would be helpful if windy. There may be a charge to enter the State Park.
Note: We typically stop half way through the paddle for a break. Feel free to bring something to snack on. Also, be sure to note the weather conditions by clicking the "Local Weather Forecast" button, and check the website for last minute changes or cancellations.
Directions From Syracuse: Take Route 81 north to the Pulaski exit and turn left on to Route 13. Follow Route 13 through Pulaski to Route 3. Turn left on to Route 3 and proceed a short distance to the main entrance of Selkirk Shores State Park. After entering the park, follow the signs to the beach parking lot.
