This is a new paddle adventure. We will launch on Stony Creek and see how far we can go. Then we can go out onto Lake Ontario. The Black Pond Wildlife refuge is on the left and a sandy beach. Be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment. A spray skirt would be helpful if it is at all windy.
Note: We typically stop half way through the paddle for a break. Feel free to bring something to snack on. Also, be sure to note the weather conditions by clicking the "Local Weather Forecast" button, and check the website for last minute changes or cancellations.
Directions: Take Route 81 north to the Pulaski exit and turn left on to Route 13. Follow Route 13 through Pulaski to Route 3. Turn right on to Route 3 and drive 19 miles. Turn left on Stony Creek Rd. After 1.4 miles continue straight on Nutting St Rd. The boat launch will be 0.2 miles on the left.
