Mexico Point State Park (2021)

Launch Time 1:00 PM

The Mexico Point launch is new and will be one to explore the Little Salmon River and possibly Sage Creek to the East of the launch site. The site itself is run by the State and there may be a fee. Sometimes there is an attendant, other times a self pay box. There is parking for over 100 cars on a paved lot, flush toilets, ice and a large grassy area launch area which would accommodate all of our kayaks. There is a broad stream which meanders South back across State route 104 B and beyond. Not sure how far upstream one can continue. Sage Creek runs through a natural area and bird sanctuary. Opposite the boat launch is a continuation of the Park, with a swimming Beach, pavilion, cottage museum, historic monument and a beach landing area. This paddle should have enough for everyone.

Note: We typically stop half way through the paddle for a break.  Feel free to bring something to snack on.  Also, be sure to note the weather conditions and check the website for last minute changes or cancellations.
