Launch Time 1:00 PM
This is a nice leisurely paddle of approximately 7 miles on the Seneca River out onto Cross Lake. This is a good novice paddle, unless it is windy on Cross Lake, which can cause some waves or chop. A spray skirt would be helpful. There is an island in the middle of the lake that just begs a stop for snacks. (This depends on the water level – actually it has been underwater for a while now). The paddle will begin at the former Jack's Reef Port-O-Call, now called The Reef. We will unload then park cars across the street from the restaurant. Be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment.
Note: We typically stop half way through the paddle for a break. Feel free to bring something to snack on. Also, be sure to note the weather conditions and check the website for last minute changes or cancellations.
