Waterloo to Seneca Lake

It did not look like an appealing day for a paddle. Four kayakers said, "What the heck! It’s a water sport!" and showed up at the launch. The weather person misspoke again and it was indeed a pleasant paddling day. Sondra, Kathy, Hugh and Bill E had a peaceful trip on the canal. They enjoyed watching fishing muskrats along the way. When they arrived at the Crow’s Nest on Seneca Lake, they were met by Ruth and Bill G. All had a tasty lunch. Bill G had fresh lobster roll and carrot cake to celebrate his birthday. Happy Birthday, Bill !! The refueled paddlers hopped back in their boats and made it back to launch without a downpour. Lesson learned: The most accurate forecast in Central New York, even with the triple Doppler radar, is untrustworthy and bad for your paddling health.
