Horseshoe Island Paddle on Sept 16, 2012

We maneuvered around the blooms of water plants (weeds) at the launch under the 481 bridge. It was overcast, but a nice break from the blinding sun. The pace was quick and we made it around the Island in approx 2 hours. The Oneida River paddlers were: Gene & Tish, Christine & Edgar, Bill E, Sue, Kim, Hugh, Eric, Jim, Bob, Kathy, Greg and Walt (our leader de jour).

Jody met us at Smokey Bones where we enjoyed food served on huge plates and discussed the upcoming trip to Lewey lake. We are all looking forward to Jody's pumpkin zucchini cake. Drive carefully Hugh!!
