Meeting Time 1:00 PM
|This is not a trip
for beginners since there can be some chop on
the lake if it is breezy. We will meet at 1:00 PM at
Chimney Bluffs State Park entrance and then
proceed to the launch site. Be sure to
bring your spray skirt along with lunch or snacks.
Please be sure
that you are properly dressed for the paddle and
have all appropriate equipment. You
may also want to bring hiking shoes if you wish to
climb the bluffs.
Take Route 690 N. from Syracuse to Route 370 in
Baldwinsville. Proceed west on Route 370 to Route
104. Turn left onto Route 104 and proceed west
approximately 9.0 miles to the intersection with
Lake Bluff Road (on the left side of this
intersection, it is Route 414). Turn right onto
Lake Bluff Road. Proceed north on Lake Bluff Road
for approximately 3.4 miles. At that point, Lake
Bluff Road will make a 90 degree turn to the left.
Do not go left here, but continue straight. This
road will now becomes Garner Road. Watch for the
State Park signs. Follow Garner Road to the
Chimney Bluffs State Park entrance on the left.
Please Note: Directions for each trip are
provided to help people unfamiliar with the area
to find the location of the trip. They are not
meant to necessarily be the most direct route from
your own location.
