Lake Eaton
Camping/Kayaking Weekend
  August 22-25, 2013

Something New For Summer!

Lake Eaton will be a new camping experience for us. The campground is 12 miles north of the Adirondack Museum and 1.5 miles from the Village of Long Lake.

We will plan to follow our normal schedule:
Thursday – Set up, explore, paddle
Friday - Paddle & eat out at local restaurant
Saturday – Paddle and share a dish to pass at group dinner
Sunday - Paddle
Monday - Paddle for those who can stay an extra day (Aug 26)

A Saturday paddle will be on Little Tupper Lake and Charles will be the trip Guide.

There are plenty of other places to paddle in the area and much to explore.  Long Lake is 14 miles long and on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.  Forked Lake is also nearby (7 miles to the campground).  If anyone wants to check out the great paddling at Rollins Pond before we leave, it is just 40 minutes away.

You will need to make your own campsite reservations through Reserve America Online.  We will be reserving in the area of sites 60-80 (See Campground Map).  Read carefully because some are walk-to sites (Park car & carry your gear).  You will need to reserve ASAP because sites go fast.
