Launch Time 12:00 Noon

The combined effects of the Honeywell clean-up and the zebra mussels have resulted in crystal clear water in which huge carp and other fish are not only highly visible but abundant. We will paddle off the shoreline so that we can observe the fish and heron and other wildlife; then back to the launch area - note the directions and map below.

We will meet at the launch site at Longbranch Park at 12:00 PM  The park is located at the north end of Onondaga Lake (See map below). Please be sure that you are properly dressed for the paddle and have all appropriate equipment.

Directions To The Launch Site: Take Route 370 north from the village of Liverpool. After you cross the bridge over the NYS Thruway, turn left onto Longbranch Road. Follow Longbranch Road across the single lane steel bridge. The launch site is at the West Shore Trail parking area which is on your left after you cross the bridge. The GPS coordinates of the launch point are N43°06.984 and W076°14.713.

Please Note: Directions for each trip are provided to help people unfamiliar with the area to find the location of the trip. They are not meant to necessarily be the most direct route from your own location.
