Eighth Lake
Camp and Paddle Weekend
July 27-29, 2012
Friday Launch 1:00 PM

Seventh Lake Launch Site

We will be camping at Eighth Lake on Friday and Saturday nights and doing a paddle on Saturday. This is a new campground for us. Eighth Lake Campground is located between Seventh Lake and Eighth Lake.  For those people who are interested, we will also be doing a paddle on Friday. Sunday is also an option.  If you are interested in camping, you will need to make your own campsite reservations through Reserve America Online.

Special Note:  Sites are going fast.  Sites 72-89, which are located about midway between Eighth Lake and Seventh Lake (See Campground Map), are all open at this time.  This is where we will be reserving our sites.  However, you will need to reserve your site ASAP.

We will be doing a Friday paddle on Big Moose Lake and we will launch at 1:00 PM
To get to the launch site, drive through Old Forge to Eagle Bay.  In Eagle Bay, turn left on Big Moose road and then follow the map below to Dunn's Boat Service.  There will be a charge for the launch.   There is no public launch site on the lake, so Rick has arranged with Dunn's Boat Service for parking and launching.  They are going to charge $10.00 per person to launch.

Some people will be going out to a local restaurant for Friday dinner.
Saturday night will be a group dinner hosted by Kim on Site 77.  Bring a dish to pass. Sign up on the message board to let people know what you are bringing.  You are responsible for any other meals.

On Saturday we will be paddling from Seventh Lake to Inlet.  We will discuss this paddle Friday night.
