Moffitt Beach Camping/Kayaking Weekend
June 24-26, 2011

This is our first camping/kayaking weekend of the 2011 paddling season.  Last year was our first experience at Moffitt Beach and it was a great weekend.  So this year, we are returning for another great weekend.  Our main paddle will be on Saturday launching around 11:00 am at the beach, but for those interested, we will also be paddling on Friday launching around 2:00 pm at the beach and Sunday.  If you do not wish to camp, you are still welcome to join us for the paddle on Saturday.  Launch time for the Saturday paddle will be posted at a later date.

If you are interested in camping, you will need to make your own campsite reservations through Reserve America Online.  We will be in loop G located adjacent to a nice sandy beach where we will be launching for our paddles.  Imagine, a whole weekend without having to put your kayak on the car. Most of the waterfront campsites have a very rocky shore and are not well suited for launching.  However, with wheels, you can be at the beach launch site in 5 minutes or less from the loop G campsites.  You are welcome to camp anywhere you want, but it's nice if we can all be in the same area.  Click here for a map of Moffitt Beach Campground.

Any group meals will be planned at a later date.

1. Breakfast Saturday June 25th will be hosted by Jim & Mickey Hunter on campsite 157 bring a dish to pass.

2. Dinner Saturday June 25th will be hosted by Anne Schofield & Roger Harrod and myself on campsite 157A bring a dish to pass.
