September 18th dawned cool but sunny for 14 paddlers to brave the drive to North Lake which is 10 miles past the Buffalo Head Restaurant in Forestport that includes a dirty long piece of dirt road full of pot holes. Our put-in was at a campsite of 30 on State Land for public camping. This was a 7.7
mile paddle around the lake feasting upon the glorious blue sky, changing trees, blessed quiet, and nearly mirror flat water. The loons were a big plus to make up for the many rock obstacles just below the surface, logs, etc. Thoroughly enjoying the afternoon were Phil T, Bill E, Walt, Dave L,
Pete, Greg & Nina B, Nina P, Rick & Cindy, Kim W, Roger and Sandy. As usual the afternoon flew by too quickly, however, those going to dinner at the Buffalo Head on the way home had their appetite
ready (see obligatory photo of a particular piece of pie).
